Practical AI education / beginner workshops + courses

Learn AI by building something useful.

See what AI can realistically do, complete practical projects with guidance, and learn how to recognize the point where human judgment or experienced technical help still matters.

Built for people who are curious, not already expert

Start with possibilities. Keep your judgment.

The first Midnight Sun course is being developed for business owners, managers, employees, and technically curious beginners. Programming, website-design, and previous AI experience are not required.

The aim is not to turn anyone into a high-level engineer in four evenings. It is to make AI understandable enough to use, review, question, and apply to familiar work without treating every output as automatically correct.

The planned four-evening workshop

Four projects that move from prompt to production.

01 / WORKSPACE

Build an AI workspace

Set up ChatGPT and Codex, organize context, and learn how to ask for explanations and useful work.

Context / questions / review
02 / WEBSITE

Create and publish a website

Build, inspect, version, and publish a real project while learning where review matters.

Build / inspect / publish
03 / BUSINESS

Apply AI to business work

Work with marketing, documents, spreadsheets, research, and campaign planning.

Documents / data / research
04 / APPLICATION

Build a small application

Create, test, and deploy a database-backed application with guided AI assistance.

Data / testing / deployment

The workshop is in development and has not yet been offered publicly. Exact dates, price, access terms, and recorded-course availability are still to be announced.

What useful learning looks like

Leave with a result and a way to evaluate the next one.

Each project is a vehicle for learning how to break work into steps, give AI useful context, make decisions deliberately, and verify that the result actually works.

  1. 01

    Opportunity

Recognize realistic places where AI can help familiar work.

  2. 02

    Explanation

Ask for plain-language reasoning and make the choices visible.

  3. 03

    Privacy

Protect private information and avoid careless access to existing systems.

  4. 04

    Review

Check facts, assumptions, generated work, and technical decisions.

  5. 05

    Verification

Test a result before relying on it in a real workflow.

  6. 06

    Judgment

Know when experienced help is the responsible next step.

40+years programming

Taught from practical use

AI experience backed by technical depth.

Scott Kemp has worked with generative AI virtually every day for approximately three years across software engineering, business systems, research, planning, review, automation, documents, websites, marketing, integrations, and tool development. The course is taught from that working experience, not from a collection of demonstrations.

A business perspective on Scott’s work

Scott’s one of those rare people who actually knows the tech and how to make it work for a real business. Computers, software, the whole stack ... he’s fluent in all of it. But he doesn’t throw tools at you just because they’re shiny. He’s owned companies himself, so he knows the difference between something that solves an actual problem and something that just sounds impressive. That’s a harder skill than people think. One of the smartest people I know, honestly.
